Amazon has no cost report. Make a tiny CSV with two columns: sku, cost-per-unit
Maps to: SKU -> sku, Cost -> cost-per-unit
Menu wording can vary slightly by marketplace/account. Column names are read from your file, so mapping still works even if they differ.
⚡ Drop all your report CSVs here at once and SkuSum sorts them automatically
Select several files: we detect Orders, Settlement, Advertising and COGS and route each to the right step. Unrecognized files are skipped. Drop several settlements together, a whole VAT quarter if you like, and each payout comes back as its own journal named after its amount, in one zip. Any settlement carrying a fee type SkuSum cannot name is held back rather than guessed at, and the summary says which and why.
No Amazon account needed, loads 6 sample SKUs and computes instantly.
1Orders report (optional)
Reports > Business Reports > Detail Page Sales and Traffic by Child Item > Download (.csv). We read SKU, units and gross sales. Adds gross sales, Amazon fees and margin per SKU. Skip it and the settlement journal still runs.

2Settlement report (this one is enough to run)
Payments > All Statements > Download Flat File V2. We sum the amount per SKU = net proceeds after Amazon's fees. On its own this gives you the categorized settlement and a balanced journal.

3Advertising report (optional)
Reports > Advertising Reports > Create Report > Sponsored Products > Advertised product. We sum ad spend per SKU, so you see profit after ads.

4COGS, cost per unit (optional)
Your own tiny CSV with two columns (sku, cost-per-unit) to get true profit after product cost.

👥 Client workspaces (bookkeepers): separate account names and mappings per client
Each workspace keeps its own journal account names and custom line-type mappings, saved in this browser only. Switching clears computed results, so one client's export can never use another client's mapping. Export filenames carry the workspace name.
⚙️ Journal account names (QuickBooks / Xero): click to rename
These names are used in the journal export and saved in your browser only. Ask your bookkeeper which chart-of-accounts names to use; leave a field empty to reset it to the default.
🔑 License key (Founding, Pro or Bookkeeper)
The key is verified and stored in this browser only. It is never sent anywhere. Nothing here is locked today: every export stays open during validation, and the key records your Founding, Pro or Bookkeeper status. Free use covers your own books and your employer's. Paid client work needs a Bookkeeper licence, and during validation that is free to any practitioner who tells us what the tool gets wrong on one real settlement, just write to hello@skusum.com. The journal, workbook, line-item and review-bucket exports are the paid tier, so if you want to back this early, Founding Pro is $49 one-time. Questions: hello@skusum.com.
Did that journal match your books?
I am after the unflattering version. Which line would you have posted to a different account, and what did I get wrong about the fee types? That is the feedback that changes the mapping.
